Cynergy bank launch new external signage across three sites.

The Bank of Cyprus UK approached Boyall Graphics & Print Ltd after having been bought by Cynergy Capital Limited. In a short space of time the bank was to undergo a total rebrand and this included signage on all UK buildings. The design objective was to create technologically forward looking external signage that supported the concept of a dynamic bank embracing technology whilst respecting its Cypriot heritage.

Boyall Graphics proposed combining a number of sign creation techniques that would result in a supremely unique and high quality finish being presented on the high street. Creating stainless steel 3D letters, unusually, instead of powder coating the letters, we coated them in a two pack epoxy resin to ensure exact Pantone matching with a high street superior finish and then incorporating a rimless return design on the main logo panel with total ‘edge to edge’ illumination. But that wasn’t the end of the story.

The two part, two colour square logo (above image) was made by creating a specialised lamination of printed pantone colours and material layers into a 13mm thick panel thus achieving UV stability against fading, full edge-to-edge rimless illumination and total Pantone colour accuracy both illuminated and non-illuminated, no mean feat particularly for the vibrant teal colour in the logo. Once made, warm LED lighting was inserted into the rear facing compartment of the logo to provide a warm backlit halo effect whilst brilliant white LED lighting was installed into the forward facingcompartment to provide a clean and classy professional presentation to the front. Along with all ancillary signage, ten of these external signs were installed over three days in inclement weather to achieve the tight deadline.
